Fire station visits
Community groups can visit a fire station by prior arrangement.
We can make language aides and interpreters available upon request.
Fire Truck Visits to Early Childhood Settings
Attendance by firefighters at pre-schools is at the discretion of each station.
Fire Rescue Victoria does not present structured fire safety programs or teach fire safety to children at kindergartens and childcare centres.
Visits to pre-schools will be confined to fire truck, equipment and uniform displays and basic information on firefighters’ roles.
Fire station displays
Want to meet our firefighters, view a fire truck up close, and learn about fire safety?
At our larger fire stations, FRV hosts demonstrations for kindergartens, pre-schools, schools and other community groups.
Firefighters cover basic fire safety and show how they use specialised rescue equipment.
These sessions are free and take one hour.
Bookings are essential as numbers are limited and demonstrations may not take place on public holidays.
NOTE: Community displays at Burwood and Ringwood are currently on hold until further notice.
10:30am on Fridays, demonstrations alternate at:
Burwood Fire Station, 25 Highbury Road, Burwood 3125
Ringwood Fire Station, 272 Maroondah Highway, Ringwood 3134
