Firefighters battle Craigieburn garage fire

At approximately 10.20pm on Friday, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to Bridgewater Road, Craigieburn, after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a garage fire.

Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find a fire issuing from the garage of a single storey brick house and quickly escalated the response.

FRV firefighters wearing breathing apparatus worked with CFA firefighters to attack the fire and prevent it from spreading to a neighbouring property.

Crews conducted a primary search of the property, with all occupants accounted for.

There was significant fire damage to the garage and the house.

The fire was deemed under control by 11.50pm.

The cause of the fire is not yet known and will be investigated by FRV specialists.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were also on scene.
