At 9.10am, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to an incident on Malmsbury Drive, Meadow Heights, after multiple callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a house fire.
The response was escalated and firefighters arrived on scene to find a single storey house involved with fire with flames extending through the roof.
Firefighters donned breathing apparatus and worked quickly to attack the fire and conduct a search.
The incident was deemed Under Control at 10.38am.
Ambulance Victoria was called to the scene to attend to two patients.
