Fire Recue Victoria responded to a house fire in Truganina shortly before 5am on Wednesday 8 July.
FRV crews arrived to find a double-storey brick townhouse fully alight. Firefighters fought the fire in an external attack due to the intensity of the blaze and concerns over the structural integrity of the building.
A search of the home found no-one inside.
The fire was declared Under Control at 5.29am, with the home sustaining significant damage in the fire.
The fire has been deemed as suspicious and will be investigated by Victoria Police. A Community Advice was issued for heavy smoke in the area.
CFA firefighters assisted with firefighting operations.
