Aerial unit called to Mill Park

FRV responded to a house fire in Mill Park at around 8:30pm on Tuesday night.

An initial FRV crew arrived on scene within five minutes to find a two storey house already alight, and escalated the response, calling for further crews including an aerial unit to assist.

Thankfully all occupants had already evacuated and were assessed by Ambulance Victoria at the scene.

Firefighters began to attack the fire, bringing it under control within 55 minutes of arriving.

FRV remained on site overnight to ensure the fire was fully extinguished and FRV’s Fire Investigation Unit will attend in the morning to investigate the cause of the fire.

At the height of the incident nine FRV appliances were on scene, as well as 30 FRV firefighters.
