Armadale house fire

FRV firefighters are currently on scene in Armadale where a fire has threatened properties this afternoon.

Crews were called to the address in Gladstone Avenue about 3.40pm and arrived within six minutes to find two sheds on neighbouring properties and a fence on fire.

Firefighters worked quickly to stop the fire from spreading to nearby homes which were under threat.

An adult and a baby self evacuated from one of the properties. The woman was treated on scene by Ambulance Victoria paramedics.

Firefighters quickly gained the upper hand of the blaze which was declared under control a little after 4.30pm.

Victoria Police also attended the incident, which is not being treated as suspicious at this stage.
