Ascot Vale house fire extinguished

FRV crews have spent the small hours of this morning battling a house fire in Ascot Vale.

Firefighters were called to the address in Mirams Street just before 3am and arrived to find a weatherboard house in flames.

Crews worked quickly to prevent the fire from spreading to neighbouring properties and managed to get the blaze under control just before 4am.

Luckily, all occupants of the home were accounted for.

Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police assisted at the scene.
