Blaze breaks out at abandoned house in Balwyn

FRV firefighters were quick on the scene in Balwyn this morning after a fire broke out in an abandoned house.
Crews were called to the address in Frederick Street at about 5.12am following several Triple Zero (000) calls reporting significant smoke and flames issuing from the vacant home.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find the building in flames and donned breathing apparatus to battle the blaze and conduct a search of the property to ensure no one was inside.
Crews worked quickly to bring the fire under control within 45 minutes.
At this stage the fire is being treated as suspicious and Victoria Police attended.
