Approximately 26 firefighters responded to a bungalow fire in Sunshine North on Friday evening.
FRV crews were called to the fire on Godfrey Avenue just before 7:00pm, after callers to Triple Zero reported a roof collapsing in a bungalow at the rear of a home.
Firefighters arrived on scene in six minutes and wearing breathing apparatus, worked to establish fire fighting lines to attack the blaze and protect an adjacent building.
They contained the fire to the bungalow’s kitchen, and brought it under control within 25 minutes.
Two people were transferred into the care of Ambulance Victoria paramedics and specialist firefighters are working to determine the cause.
