Car crashes into Box Hill fruit shop

Two people were taken to hospital after a car ploughed into a fruit shop in Box Hill this afternoon.

Crews were called to the incident, on Middleborough Road, just before 4.30pm and arrived to find a car had crashed into the shopfront, colliding with two people.

Firefighters worked quickly to make the scene safe.

The driver of the car and one other patient were transported to hospital.

Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria and SES also attended the incident.
