Car park fire in Dandenong

FRV firefighters are currently on scene in Dandenong following a fire in an underground car park.

Crews were called to the car park, which is connected to a supermarket, just after 2.30pm and arrived within five minutes to find a store room ablaze and thick black smoke emanating from the scene.

Firefighters were able to quickly gain the upper hand of the incident, which was declared under control within about 20 minutes.

The cause remains under investigation.

Victoria Police also attended the incident.
