Caravans spark significant fire at Braybrook factory

More than 30 firefighters responded to a fire at a sheet metal factory fire in Braybrook in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Firefighters arrived at the Errol Street scene within six minutes, just before 3am.

Upon arrival, crews found six caravans on fire at the 20-metre by 60-metre factory.

Firefighters entered the premise in teams wearing breathing apparatus, using water hose lines to knock the fire over.

Firefighters successfully stopped the fire from spreading to nearby properties, and brought the scene under control within 40 minutes of arrival.

FRV's specialist fire investigators are investigating the cause of the fire.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria staff also attended the scene.
