Clarinda house fire under control

FRV firefighters are currently on scene in Clarinda where a house fire has broken out.

Crews were called to the Poulter Crescent address around 2.50pm following calls to Triple Zero (000) reporting smoke billowing from a roof.

They arrived within five minutes to find the second storey of the home ablaze.

Approximately 50 firefighters worked quickly to protect neighbouring houses and managed to get the incident under control by 4.17pm.

The residents had fortunately self-evacuated and were all accounted for.

A community warning has been issued regarding smoke in the area.

Ambulance Victoria is on scene.
