Firefighters arrived at the Dallas home within six minutes to find a fire involving a tin shed at the rear of a property.
FRV crews surrounded the shed and worked quickly to knock down the flames.
The fire was declared under control 20 minutes after initial crews arrived, and is believed to have started on a spit barbeque.
At the height of the incident there were approximately 30 firefighters at the scene, supported by Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria.
There were no injuries reported at the scene.
