FRV crews arrived on scene to Sussex Street in just 4.5 minutes.

They swiftly escalated the response once it was confirmed a fire had taken hold of the front part of the house and was spreading to the roof space.

Thankfully, all occupants were accounted for.

FRV crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire and it was deemed under control in 12 minutes.

The gas and water supplies were isolated, however isolation of the solar system required attendance from the power company.

The neighbouring properties were well protected by FRV crews, who remained on scene for some time checking for hotspots in the roof.

There were ten appliances attending at the height of the incident from five different fire stations, including rescue and aerial crews.

FRV is investigating the cause of the fire.
