Crews attack fire in Braybrook warehouse

More than 20 FRV firefighters responded to a fire in a Braybrook lighting and flooring warehouse on Saturday evening.

A caller to Triple Zero (000) reported the Ballarat Road fire just before 5.20pm.

Crews arrived on scene within six minutes, finding the fire fully alight over two storeys of the multi-level building.

Crews immediately escalated the response.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters entered the building to attack the fire.

Crews brought the under control at 5.55pm.

One person evacuated the warehouse prior to firefighters' arrival.

Two people evacuated an adjoining unit during the incident, and were assessed by Ambulance Victoria.

At the height of the incident, more than 20 firefighters used seven appliances to fight the fire.

Victoria Police also attended the scene and Maribyrnong City Council building surveyors will inspect the building.

FRV’s specialist fire investigators will investigate the cause of the fire.
