Crews attack smoke incident at Mulgrave building

FRV and CFA firefighters attended a fire in Mulgrave just before 1 am this morning following a call to Triple Zero (000)

Crews arrived to the Dandenong Road scene to find a demolition building with smoke emitting from an unknown source.

FRV immediately escalated the response as crews worked to find the cause of the smoke.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters conducted a search of the building for occupants but thankfully no one was onsite.

Following an extensive search and smoke removal, the incident was declared under control at 1:48 am.

An Aerial Firefighting Vehicle and Heavy Rescue Unit also responded and the cause of the fire is yet to be determined

Victoria Police also attended the scene.
