Approximately 30 FRV firefighters responded to an incident on Saturday afternoon after multple callers to Triple Zero (000) reported sounds of explosions
Firefighters arrived to the Oakleigh road scene within 5 minutes to find a single storey brick dwelling and attached garage heavily involved in fire
Occupants of the home were evacuated and transported into the care of Ambulance Victoria paramedics
Crews worked to attack the blaze bringing it under control within 40 minutes, and remained on scene for some time to ensure the scene was safe
Local gas and power companies were also called to the scene, along with Victoria Police who assisted with operations
The cause of the fire is currently unknown and will be investigated by FRV's specialist Fire Investigation Unit
