At 9.42pm on Saturday 8 November, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to an incident on Patterson Street, Ringwood East, after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a house fire.
Firefighters arrived within four minutes to find a single storey brick building well alight.
Due to the intensity of the fire, firefighters were initially unable to enter the home to conduct a search. The house was reported to be inhabited by squatters.
A search later confirmed no persons inside the building. No injuries have been reported.
The fire was declared under control at 10.17pm.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, but has been deemed suspicious.
