More than 30 FRV firefighters brought a significant Heidelberg West house fire under control within five minutes on Monday night.
Multiple callers to Triple Zero (000) reported the fire shortly after 11.20pm, and firefighters arrived at the Tobruk Avenue scene within five minutes.
Upon arrival, crews found a fully involved fire at the back of a unit. Firefighters immediately escalated the response, with additional appliances dispatched to fight the fire.
Thankfully, all occupants had evacuated to the front of the property.
Wearing breathing apparatus, crews quickly attacked the fire, containing it to its place of origin.
Crews remained on scene to dampen down hot spots, ventilate the property and make the scene safe.
The cause of the fire has been determined to be an electrical issue.
Police were also on scene assisting with operations.
