Crews swiftly contain Pascoe Vale unit fire

More than 25 FRV firefighters responded to a unit fire in Pascoe Vale on Friday morning.

A caller to Triple Zero (000) reported the fire shortly after 7.10am and crews arrived at the Surrey Street scene within four minutes.

Upon arrival, crews found a fire on the second storey of the two-storey property was fully involved.

The fire had entered the roof of the property and was spreading to other adjoining properties.

Wearing breathing apparatus, crews conducted a search of the property, finding no occupants were home.

Crews worked quickly to attack the fire, including attacking it from above with an aerial appliance.

Firefighters brought the fire under control at 7.45am.

Victoria Police also attended the scene and a power and gas company.
