Crews tackle Reservoir house fire

At 9.22pm, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews responded to in incident on Albert Street, Reservoir after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a house fire.

Crews arrived on scene within four minutes to find smoke and flames issuing from the roof of the single storey brick house, so the response was escalated.

FRV crews donned breathing apparatus and began attacking the fire as well as preventing any fire spread to adjoining properties.

The house is believed to be abandoned, however FRV will conduct a search to confirm this.

The fire was deemed Under Control by 9.43pm.

The cause of the fire is not yet known but it will be investigated by FRV specialists.

Firefighters will remain on scene to ensure the fire is fully extinguished.

Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria and the power company were also on scene.
