Arriving within six minutes wearing firefighters Breathing Apparatus entered the centre and found one shop fully involved with a second shop partially involved and worked to contain and suppress the blaze. There are several adjacent shops that were heavily smoked logged.
The incident was brought under control at 4:21am. There were no injuries.
Eight Pumpers, a Rescue Unit and three specialist and support vehicles were on scene with support from CFA, Victoria Police and local utility companies.
Victoria Police is investigating.
