The fire was caused by lithium-ion batteries on charge in the garage.
The fire took approximately 90 minutes to bring under control.
The garage, including 4 cars, have been destroyed.
Most of the house has been extensively damaged by fire.
The family will be sourcing alternative accommodation.
FRV and CFA Firefighters will be remaining on scene throughout the morning to overhaul and continue to extinguish hotspots.
