Essendon house fire

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews responded to a house on fire in Essendon on Saturday morning, following multiple calls to Triple Zero (000) at 4.28am.

Crews arrived at the Miller Street scene within six minutes to find the single storey weatherboard with dimensions of 20m x 20m fully involved in flames and smoke. Firefighters immediately escalated the response.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters worked to extinguish the fire, bringing the incident under control by 4.56am. Crews successfully preventing the fire from spreading to the adjoining houses.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were on scene to support firefighting activities.
