Fire Investigators will probe the cause of a house fire in Ringwood this evening.
Crews were called to the address in Strathallyn Road shortly before 9.45pm and arrived in under three minutes to find the roof on fire and residents unaccounted for.
One person had self-evacuated from the property. Firefighters conducted a search of the property and a second person was sadly located deceased.
Firefighters aggressively attacked the blaze and managed to get it under control in just over 20 minutes.
Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria also attended the incident.
