Car wreckers fire in Campbellfield

FRV crews arrived on scene to find a fire involving a number of vehicles at a motor wreckers yard.

Firefighters quickly set up hose lines and also conducted an aerial attack on the blaze to bring it under control.

The fire was declared under control at 5:50pm and is believed to have impacted around 10 vehicles.

At the height of the incident there were seven firefighting appliances at the scene, along with two additional units.

The exact cause of the fire is not yet known, but will be investigated. 

A community information message was issued for smoke in the area.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria also assisted at the scene.
