Clayton South factory fire contained

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews responded to a factory fire in Clayton South this morning, following a call to Triple Zero (000). 

Crews arrived at the Fairbank Road scene within three minutes to find the factory issuing flames and smoke.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters worked to extinguish the fire, bringing the incident under control within 65 minutes. Crews contained the fire to the premise, preventing its spread to other properties.

No workers were inside the building when the fire broke out and there were no injuries reported.

Specialist fire investigators will attend the scene to determine the cause. 

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were on scene to support firefighting activities.
