Fire District Review Panel

In 2020, as part of the Victorian Fire Services Reform, the Victorian Government established an independent Fire District Review Panel (FDRP).

The FDRP’s role is to periodically review the boundaries between fire services to ensure our fire and rescue services can adapt and respond as Victoria grows.

As part of the review process, the FDRP consults with all relevant stakeholders, including fire agencies and local governments to determine and recommend changes to the FRV and adjoining CFA fire district boundaries.

Panel findings

The Panel published its determination in the Victorian Government Gazette on 30 March 2023. The panel will consider responses from key stakeholders, before making recommendations to the Minister for Emergency Services.
The final decision about whether there should be any changes to Victoria's fire district boundaries will be made by the Minister in 2024.
