Firefighters have gained control of a fire which ignited an Epping homemaker centre this morning.
Crews from FRV and CFA were called to the scene at High Street at 5am.
They arrived to find two stores within the homemaker centre, an automotive car shop and second hands good store, in flames with smoke billowing from the scene.
At the height of the fire more than a 100 firefighters were on scene working to extinguish the flames.
Firefighters tackled the incident using aerial appliances due to structural collapse.
The incident was declared under control at 7.45am
It’s expected crews will remain on scene for most of the day.
Members of the community are advised to avoid the area.
Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were on site providing assistance.
