Approximately 30 firefighters responded to a shed fire in Malvern on Saturday morning.

FRV crews were called to the Glenferrie Road incident about 9:50am, after multiple callers to Triple Zero (000) reported smoke in the area.

Firefighters arrived on scene to find a large amount of smoke coming from a shed, which was attached to a three storey building.

Crews worked to contain the blaze and prevent it spreading to the neighbouring building, before bringing the fire under control 27 minutes after they first arrived on scene.

Firefighters believed  the fire was caused by embers from a fire pit, which was alight the night before, being blown onto tanbark and then a fence which spread to the shed.

No injuries were reported, and FRV worked alongside Victoria Police at the scene.
