Crews arrived to the scene within six minutes and found the single storey brick home well alight – with more than half of the home on fire.

Wearing breathing apparatus for their safety, firefighters worked to knock down the fire and conduct an internal search.

Thankfully, no one was found inside the home at the time of the fire.

Firefighters ensured the fire was brought under control within half an hour, however the home has sustained significant damage.

FRV’s specialist fire investigation unit will attend the scene on Monday morning to analyse it, and determine a cause.

Approximately 30 firefighters attended the fire, on board seven firefighting appliances including an aerial and a rescue unit.

Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police assisted FRV during the incident.
