FRV firefighters were alerted to the fire just after 12:30pm following a number of Triple Zero ‘000’ calls sighting flames coming from the property on Bianca Cr.
Crews donned in breathing apparatus made their way inside the single storey home and were able to contain the fire to the roof space.
The quick work of firefighters prevented the fire from completely overtaking the home and spreading to neighbouring properties.
The fire was declared under control in just over 30 minutes.
At the height of the incident there were seven firefighting appliances at the scene including a Command Unit.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
