Fire services quickly get Truganina grass fire under control

Approximately 28 FRV firefighters worked alongside CFA in responding to a grass fire in Truganina on Atkinson Road and Boundary Road arriving at 12:10pm this afternoon.

Once on scene firefighters saw the fire spanning one hectare in size and quickly worked to make the scene safe in challenging rocky terrain.

11 Pumpers were supported by three specialist FRV vehicles and CFA and managed to bring the scene under control at 12:30pm.

FRV was also supported by Ambulance Victoria paramedics and Victoria Police.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
