Crews arrived on scene within six minutes to find a fire on the first floor of a two storey brick and concrete home.

Making access through a roller door, crews wearing breathing apparatus quickly knocked down the fire and brought it under control within 15 minutes.

Thankfully, the home’s occupants had safely evacuated to the front of the premises.

Crews contained the fire to an ensuite and walk in robe and worked to ventilate smoke from the property.

At the height of the fire there were seven firefighting appliances on scene, including a rescue and an aerial teleboom along with a Command unit.

Approximately 30 firefighters attended alongside Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria units.

Crews remained on scene into Monday morning, working to completely extinguish the fire, and monitor for any remaining hot spots.

Firefighters will hand the scene to Victoria Police for further investigation.
