Firefighters attack Carnegie house blaze

Firefighters responded to a house fire in Carnegie after a call to Triple Zero just before 4pm.

FRV crews arrived to the Frogmore Road scene within seven minutes to find a single-storey house engulfed in flames and immediately escalated FRV’s response.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters attacked the blaze with the incident declared under control at 4:38 pm.

Thankfully all persons had evacuated the home and were accounted for.

The house sustained significant fire, smoke and water damage.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria also attended the scene and the cause of the fire is not suspicious.
