At 1.03am, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to an incident on Everest Drive, Cheltenham after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a fire.

Crews arrived on scene within four minutes to find smoke and flames issuing from a house and adjoining garage, so the response was escalated.

All occupants safely evacuated and were assessed by Ambulance Victoria.

The fire was deemed under control by 1.37am.
