Firefighters responded to a house fire in Keilor East just after 8 pm on Monday night following multiple calls to Triple Zero (000).
FRV crews arrived to the Hassett Crescent home within four minutes to find a double storey house fully involved in flames and immediately escalated the response.
Thankfully all residents had safely evacuated from the home.
Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters attacked the blaze externally and prevented the spread of the fire to adjacent homes.
Crews were able to contain the fire with the scene declared under control at 9:12 pm.
The home has sustained extensive damage with the cause of the currently undetermined.
Crews remained on scene over night to ensure the fire was completely extinguished with 30 firefighters attending the scene at the height of the incident.
Ambulance Victoria also attended the scene.
