More than 30 FRV and CFA firefighters responded to a house fire in Roxburgh Park on Saturday afternoon.

Crews were called to the Donald Cameron Drive incident at 3.27pm after multiple callers to Triple Zero (000) reported the fire.

Arriving on scene in six minutes to find a three storey brick house well alight, firefighters immediately escalated the response.

Wearing breathing apparatus, they attacked the flames and brought the fire under control within 30 minutes of arriving on scene.

Fortunately four people had evacuated the home before crews arrived.

Crews will remain on scene for some time to ensure the fire is completely extinguished.

At the height of the incident there were 10 firefighting appliances at the scene, along with one command unit.
