Firefighters battle blaze at abandoned school in Box Hill South

More than 60 FRV firefighters battled a blaze at an abandoned school in Box Hill South last night.
Crews were called to the vacant two storey building on Hay Street just after 9.45pm after flames and smoke were sighted.
Firefighters arrived to find the fire had taken hold of the building; however they quickly managed to contain it to the second floor.
The fire was declared under control by 10.39pm.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
FRV Firefighters remained on scene overnight.
