FRV firefighters are currently on scene in Granter St, Brighton East, where a house fire has occurred.
Crews were called to the address following multiple Triple Zero (000) calls shortly before 7.45pm and arrived within four minutes to find flames engulfing the home and spreading through the roof.
It was initially feared that the occupants may have been inside but luckily, they had escaped.
Firefighters worked quickly to gain the upper hand of the blaze, preventing it from spreading to other properties.
The fire was deemed under control within about an hour.
A community advice message has been issued due to smoke in the area.
