More than 60 FRV firefighters responded to a factory fire in Brunswick East following multiple reports to Triple Zero (000) just after 1pm Thursday afternoon
Crews arrived at the John street scene within five minutes to find a factory well alight
Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters attacked the blaze and worked to protect neighbouring properties
Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were also on scene assisting with operations
The incident was deemed under control at 2:40pm
A community advice message has been issued to people in nearby areas that smoke may be visible, and to stay informed and monitor conditions
Members of the public are asked to avoid the area to allow emergency vehicle access.
