Firefighters battle Dallas fire

At 4.46pm, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) was called to an incident on Boort St, Dallas after multiple callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a house fire.

Further calls stated windows were exploding, so the response was escalated.

Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find smoke and flames issuing from a single-storey house.

Fire crews donned breathing apparatus to attack the fire and prevent it from spreading to adjoining properties.

Two residents returned to the home at the time of the fire.

The fire was deemed Under Control at 5.06pm.

The cause of the fire is not yet known but it will be investigated by FRV specialists.

A Community Advice message was issued for smoke in the area.

Firefighters will remain on scene to ensure the fire is fully extinguished.
