Fire Rescue Victoria has responded to an incident on Kimberly Rd, Dandenong South following multiple calls to Triple Zero (000) reporting a factory fire.
Firefighters arrived on scene in 6 minutes to find a 30m X 60m factory containing lighter products, fully involved in flames.
Crews are working to keep the fire contained to the factory on Kimberly drive and avoid the spread to a neighbouring factory containing hydraulics.
There is a total of 40 firefighters on scene to battle the blaze and to ensure the fire does not spread.
Firefighter welfare is paramount with the current warm weather presenting challenges.
CFA, Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria are all on scene to assist.
This incident is ongoing and not yet under control.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.

The fire has been contained to the factory of origin.
There are no reported injuries.
Everyone has been evacuated safely.
Ambulance Victoria remains on scene for firefighter welfare.
Scientific specialists are on scene to monitor air quality and water run-off.
A total attendance of 12 appliances which includes 10 pumpers, 2 ladder platforms and 50 firefighters.
This incident has not yet been deemed Under Control.
Crews will remain on scene for the evening.
