At 4.31pm, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to reports of a house fire on Main Rd W, Kings Park.
First arriving crews assisted one male occupant out of the home and placed him into the care of Ambulance Victoria for smoke inhalation.
FRV declared the fire Under Control at 5.12pm, containing the blaze to the front sections of the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were on scene assisting FRV operations.
