Firefighters battle a house fire in Donvale

The fire was not suspicious.

At 3:46AM, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to an incident in Craig Road Donvale after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a house fire.

Firefighters arrived on scene to find the multi-level, brick and steel constructed home fully involved in fire.

Crews aggressively attacked the fire. The home has been destroyed by fire and the roof has collapsed.

The fire was deemed under control at 4:33AM.

FRV specialist Fire Investigators will be attending this morning to investigate the cause of the fire with Victoria Police.

Firefighters will remain on scene to continue fire duties into the morning.
