Firefighters battle large fire in Springvale South

FRV and CFA firefighters are currently battling a fire at a religious facility Springvale South.

Crews were called to the place of worship in Springvale Road about 8pm and arrived to find a large multi storey building ablaze.

Approximately 80 firefighters are on scene and a watch and act message has been issued to residents of Dingley Village, Keysborough, Noble Park and Springvale South.

Residents in the area are being advised to remain indoors, close all exterior doors and windows and turn off heating and cooling systems.

There is a large contingent of emergency services in the area and Springvale Road, Springvale South, is closed.

The incident has been deemed under control at approx. 10.35pm.
