Approximately 22 FRV firefighters responded to a service station fire in Fitzroy on Monday night.

A caller to Triple Zero (000) reported the Victoria Parade fire shortly before 12.00am.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters worked quickly to isolate power and fuel before attacking the flames.

The incident was deemed under control within 15 minutes, with crews remaining on scene overnight to fully extinguish the flames and monitor for any hot spots.
