Firefighters battle structure fire in St Albans

At 3.23am, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to an incident on Andrew Road, St Albans after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a house fire.

Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find a 10m x 18m single storey brick and tile structure fully alight.

Crews attacked the fire externally, and used an aerial appliance to help knock down the fire.

The scene was deemed Under Control at 4.10am.

FRV remains on scene and is monitoring for hot spots.

Ambulance Victoria and the power company were also on the scene. A building surveyor was requested to attend.

A warning was issued for smoke in the area and traffic restrictions.
