Firefighters battle Truganina grass and scrub fire

Firefighters are on scene in Truganina where a grass and scrub fire has broken out this evening.

Crews arrived at the incident scene on Merribah Way, just after 7:10 pm to find a large grassfire moving quickly in a south easterly direction.

FRV and CFA worked side by side to tackle the fire, bringing the incident under control just after 8 pm.

Crews are remaining on scene to monitor the situation and ensure the fire is fully extinguished.
